What can you do with a coin? Buy a bar of chocolate? Put it in your piggy bank? Or turn it into a memorabilia to keep forever?
Hi. I am Suat. I design necklaces with personalized coins. Since ancient times rulers minted coins with their face or another image stamped on them to symbolize their power and independence. While many Roman emperors preferred their own faces, Alyattes the king of Lydia put the image of a lion, which inspired us while creating our brand and logo.
My wife and I were riding the subway once when we saw a man who was wearing a necklace – one of those we got used to seeing all the time. It was an ancient asymmetrical Roman metal coin. Of course, it had the face of Julius Caesar on it. I told my wife I loved that kind of necklaces. She said, “I wish I could print the face of somebody I liked on those coins; or my pet’s face.” Yes! It really made sense. There should be the most precious person on that necklace who you want to remember all the time. Besides, I am not sure if I really like Caesar or not.
Off we started our business right after that day in the subway. With this business, we thought we could give anyone the chance to declare their kingdom and get the value they deserved. We studied many ancient metal coin collections that reflected the spirit of their times and we modelled them.
Laser-cutting machines would not be useful in this. For, metal coins demanded more refined handwork. Like an artist painting a portrait on a canvas, we started imprinting every face on coin medals with all visible details.
We produce molds for every medal with 3D wax printer. Then we pour 925-carat sterling silver into the mold to cast your kingdom’s symbol. We clean the coins after the casting and do a series of processing according to the color and coating of your choice, like gold, rose gold, oxidized silver, or pure gold.
We have developed products you will enjoy wearing. You can have your photos in relief on medallions and Roman/Lydian coins specially designed for all 12 signs of the zodiac. It can be the image of yourself or somebody you love; you can give it as a gift on special days. All you need to do is send us high-res photos of the face from the front or the side taken in good light. Tell us what you want to write on it and choose a typeface. Pick the type and material of the medallion. Voila! Your coin is ready to be shipped!
